Fabio Viviani is a stunning example of someone who took the American dream and crushed it. So hard in fact, that he did it twice. After losing a substantial life savings shortly after arriving in America, he turned around and built $65 million dollar restaurant empire. Dreaming of Palm Trees With Lilly Pulitzer

lilly-pulitzer-blogger-photo-luci-v-neck-tunic

With unapologetic, playful prints that pack a colorful punch, Lilly Pulitzer has been the go-to resort wear brand for East Coast gals since the 1960’s. Nothing screams “I’m on vacation!” like a bold Lilly Pulitzer piece. Leave the black maxi dresses and boring neutrals at home and make a statement with designs that will get you in the mood for palm trees and sunshine. I’ve rocked  Lilly Pulitzer everywhere from the Hamptons to Hawaii, but Lilly prints are also ideal for California getaways any time of year since we’re lucky enough to have winter days warm enough for the beach!

Lilly prints look great with white, navy, and gold and her tunic tops are perfect to throw over a bikini. I love this coral print version!

San Francisco is home to some of the most famous tourist attractions in the world, which can make it tough for visitors to spend time exploring some of its lesser known locales. When I travel, I like to have a mix of both. If I had 24 hours in San Francisco this fall and chose some cool, seasonally appropriate local spots. The best part is that they also offer a taste of the larger attractions!

Get your day started early with a fresh brew from the Beanery just south of the Park, and make your way up the Japanese Tea Garden. The changing leaves are spectacular this time of year, and give the garden a whole new look with shades of vibrant orange, yellow, and red.
