Floss, brush, checkup, repeat. That was my dental care routine for a long time, until I cracked a tooth trying to eat a frozen Cadbury Mini Egg. Yes, frozen. We were trying to discourage the pillaging of a Costco-sized bag of Mini Eggs by putting them in the freezer and clearly, it backfired.
After this, I started thinking more ways to improve my dental health. My dentist suggested a new nightguard to help with grinding, and to use an electric toothbrush in order to reduce my chances of gum recession. At the same time, I inquired about teeth whitening. The estimate for all of this came in at over the price of a pair of Chanel sandals I’d been lusting over (I know, I know – it should be health before fashion), so I started investigating whether there was a cheaper way to do it all. Read on to learn about what I found…
Spring is a time when everyone gets excited to shed winter layers, and fill their wardrobes with bold colors and light fabrics. It’s a perfect excuse to wear loud floral prints from head to toe! I was drawn to this maxi dress for it’s bold print and flattering wrap around style. Wrap around dresses (especially with plunging necklines) draw the eye to all the right places, and can be comfortably adjusted to any body type – curves or no curves. They are a mainstay in both my casual and corporate wardrobes. This maxi dress is romantic, and perfect for a date night or evening event. Paired with a pair of espadrilles that I’ve had for years here, it also looks fantastic with nude stilettos. Enjoy!
I’m so excited to finally be attending the 11th Annual Uncorked Festival in Ghirardelli Square this weekend in San Francisco. My friends went last year, and raved about the endless selection of food and wine samples (over 50 local wineries in attendance)! The best part will be sipping wine and enjoying views of the Golden Gate Bridge, as well as meeting up with my girl Ashley from A Lady Goes West and her awesome hubby Dave.
If you make it down, be sure to check out fellow San Francisco blogger babe KatwalkSF’s gorgeous boutique Les Mechantes, which is also located in Ghirardelli Square.
