When I first saw these shorts, I thought, “such 90’s shorts!!” and instantly pictured Rachel from Friends. When I Googled to see if I was right, I came up with these tight pink bicycle 90’s shorts (nooo thanks)…but also these vintage ones that look almost identical to what I’m wearing. So, they kind of are? They’re also sort of like a shorter version of culottes, those awesome wide-leg cropped pants making a comeback that are reminiscent of the 1940’s. From some angles, you can’t really tell if they’re shorts but at the same time they don’t fall quite like a skirt. I love it!
We all know that black and white is one of my favorite outfit plays, so I paired ‘em with a white top tied at the back to make it a crop, plus one of my fave black bags and some strappy wedges. I like to leave the straps untucked so they stick out – it adds a touch of quirkiness. An understated gold necklace and bangles with a tinted red lip allow the rest of the outfit to shine. This 90’s shorts ensemble is actually one of my favorite looks I’ve created for spring so far because it’s cute AND comfy – can I just wear it everyday?
PS. I had two inches cut off my hair this week (since these pictures were taken) and the thick blunt ends are SO much less manageable than long straggly ones I had here! I think I’m just going to embrace the damage as I grow it out…I find that thinner ends and longer hair is way easier to style! It used to be down to my butt – not quite going for that length, but just a little longer.
