I’m beyond excited to be partnering up with Warby Parker for this post to announce their Warby Parker x Pop-in@Nordstrom shop in San Francisco, running until September 6th. I first learned about Warby Parker when I lived in New York City a few years ago, and was fed up with paying $500 every year for a new pair of designer frames. Nevermind their gorgeous luxe looking designs, I mostly love Warby Parker for these two reasons:
1) Business philosophy: high quality + low prices – Warby Parker is redefining the glasses industry by offering frames and sunglasses with designs that rival (if not exceed) the creativity and quality of anything you’d find in a top designer brand, but at an accessible price (starting at $95, with lenses). They make this possible by designing and manufacturing their own frames and sunglasses, and selling them directly to customers either online (through the home try-on program) or at a handful of retail locations.
2) Social responsibility: since 2010 they’ve donated over 1 million frames to charity – for every pair of frames sold, Warby Parker donates one pair to a charity such as VisionSpring. According to the VisionSpring website 90% of people living with uncorrected vision live in developing countries; Warby Parker is a major force in changing this.

Warby Parker x Pop-in@Nordstrom in San Francisco
Warby Parker x Pop-in@Nordstrom is part of a series themed pop-up shops featured in Nordstrom stores to introduce new and creative brands to Nordstrom customers. Remember those giant pool swans blowing up instagram for the last few years? Those were the brainchild of Funboy, a Pop-in@Nordstrom featured brand. The Warby Parker x Pop-in@Nordstrom will be in six locations across the country until Sept 6th, including our very own Nordstrom in San Francisco at San Francisco Center (Westfield Mall) .
Warby Parker will be releasing four exclusive pairs of sunglasses in the shop (see below), including the Banks in Crystal, that I’m wearing here in Sea Smoke Tortoise plus a ton of other styles. Warby Parker x Pop-in@Nordstrom will also be selling other literary inspired items including books, notecards and more. Fitting, as the brand was named after two characters in one of On the Road author Jack Kerouac’s journals.
I also love the Warby Parker Crossfield in Jet Silver:
Warby Parker: Perfect for the sunshine in San Francisco, and they even stay on in the wind!
